Back-to-School Bash 

Protect your personal information by joining the Brevard County Sheriff's Office for a free Community Shred Event at Melbourne Square. Residents are invited to bring up to two boxes of personal documents for secure, on-site shredding. This free event provides a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive paperwork and help prevent identity theft. Location: JCPenney Parking LotTime: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM Shredding is available on a first-come, first-served basis while capacity allows. Gather your old financial records, bills, and other confidential documents, and let the professionals handle the rest.

Guests are invited to donate essential items that will help provide comfort, care, and support to veterans in our community. A donation bin will be located at the America250 Mural near Macy’s for guests to conveniently drop off needed items throughout the month. Donations will benefit local veteran organizations and help ensure those who have served our country receive the resources they need and deserve. Honor the service and sacrifice represented by the American flag by participating in our Flag Retirement Collection Program. Melbourne Square is proud to host a permanent flag retirement box, presented by The American Legion Post 420, where community members can respectfully place worn, damaged, or retired American flags. Collected flags will be properly retired through a dignified ceremony conducted by The American Legion, ensuring each flag receives the respect and honor it deserves. We invite our community to help preserve the tradition and meaning of our nation’s symbol by bringing in flags that are ready for retirement. The collection box is located at Melbourne Square and is available year-round.
