Honor the service and sacrifice represented by the American flag by participating in our Flag Retirement Collection Program. Melbourne Square is proud to host a permanent flag retirement box, presented by The American Legion Post 420, where community members can respectfully place worn, damaged, or retired American flags.
Collected flags will be properly retired through a dignified ceremony conducted by The American Legion, ensuring each flag receives the respect and honor it deserves.
We invite our community to help preserve the tradition and meaning of our nation’s symbol by bringing in flags that are ready for retirement. The collection box is located at Melbourne Square and is available year-round.
